This family was a pure JOY to photograph! I'm so glad I got to meet and hang out with them. These boys were so well behaved and had SOOO much fun playing, running, exploring, and jumping. It was just the best! I asked them what they wanted Santa Clause to bring them for Christmas, it was the cutest thing. I love watching kids faces light up when they talk about Christmas and Santa. Do you remember those feelings of anticipation before Christmas day? I certainly do! They tend to fade away as the years pass, but they sure are fun to see through the eyes of kiddos. I was also so impressed about how much they knew about dinosaurs, and how well they could pronounce those crazy long & hard names. So smart!
We had planned to meet in the afternoon, but when the forecast says 50% chance of rain in the pm and 0% chance in the am, you switch things up. I have a 'no rain' policy, which essentially means if it's gonna rain, we reschedule. No one wants to get drenched for their photo session. You'd be surprised how this works given Portland's reputation with the weather. It can be bucketing all morning and totally sunny in the afternoon, or vice versa. Things just tend to work out.

Fall Family Session in particular fill very fast so it is recommended you book 1-2 months in advance. In family sessions we focus on moments, not poses.
